SEND Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) - Child with Down Syndrome

Location: Charlton, Greenwich

Start Date: September | Full-Time, Long-Term Role

Complete Classroom Services is working with a friendly primary school in Charlton, Greenwich, to find an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a child with Down Syndrome. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September, perfect for someone passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.

Role Overview:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with Down Syndrome within the classroom

Use Makaton to support communication and learning

Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to meet the child's individual needs

Promote inclusion and help the child engage socially and academically

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with Down Syndrome or similar SEND needs

Proficiency in Makaton

Strong communication skills and patience

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Commitment to supporting the child long-term

Pay: 90.00-105.00 per day
