SEND Teaching Assistant - Full Time (Barnet Level 2)

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with complex needs? We're looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to join our inclusive education team as a SEND Learning Support Assistant.

Role Overview

This is a full-time role supporting pupils with specific complex needs in a structured SEND Hub setting and in mainstream classes. You will work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and senior leadership to ensure personalised, high-impact support is delivered every day.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support learning for pupils with complex needs, both in the SEND Hub and integrated classroom settings. Observe and support the delivery of targeted interventions and adapt strategies as needed. Design and implement tailored provision for pupils, including resources and curriculum adaptations aligned with the EYFS and National Curriculum. Coordinate timetables and deliver structured inclusion programmes. Maintain detailed records of pupil progress, analyse data, and contribute insights to inform future planning. Support the preparation of Annual Reviews and EHCP assessments with well-informed contributions and reports. Liaise regularly with class teachers, SEND specialists, and the senior leadership team to ensure consistent and high-quality provision.

Requirements

Must hold Barnet Level 2 qualification (or equivalent). Proven experience working with children with complex learning needs. Strong communication, planning, and record-keeping skills. Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and high aspirations for all learners.
