Location: Derby
Hours of work 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to 35,000
About the Role
Responsibilities - but not limited to:
Working alongside the Senior Commercial Analysts (QS) Ensuring proper contractual administration of contract/project assigned, including value and cost control, and maintenance of contemporaneous records
Accurately value works undertaken and where necessary provide records to substantiate cost to allow prompt issue of application for payment/invoice in line with contractual timescales
Ensure change control process is managed effectively, including production of early warnings/variations, maximising entitlement
Preparation of financial statements in respect to projects/contracts assigned, working with operational teams to confirm understanding of financial position, proactively instilling commercial awareness throughout the wider business.
Accepts extra duties as situations arise.
Experience and qualifications required for the role:
Ability to work in a fast paced environment where attention to detail is crucial
Excellent communication skills
Able to work in a team
Advanced Excel skills essential
Previous experience and knowledge of utilities
We are looking for a candidate who is looking to enhance their career within a Commercial environment. The role would be suited to a candidate who has strong advanced Excel skills and comes with a Financial background. If you have studied Quantity Surveying or have worked in a Commercial Department this would be advantageous.
