Senior Manager, Transactional Fraud Strategy and Intelligence

Working at our iconic office in Kings Cross, London, and virtually via Microsoft Teams

Your new role at NewDay

As a Senior Manager you will lead all aspects of Transactional Fraud prevention and detection strategies in addition to Fraud Intelligence and First Party fraud strategy. This includes management of a small team who have responsibility to conduct day to day analysis of current fraud trends and optimising existing strategies and developing new strategies where appropriate. Drive Transactional fraud projects from concept to delivery in order to achieve initiatives and company goals. Work alongside Senior Manager, Application and Digital Fraud Strategy to deliver an end to end Fraud Strategy and deliver against company Budget.

0-12 months you\'ll deliver

  • A fully engaged team with a strong understanding of NewDay products and systems
  • Identifying new and emerging fraud trends internally and working with the various industry bodies to gain findings from peer groups to enable implementation of proactive prevention strategies
  • Build and develop relationships with the internal and external partners to ensure effective execution of the strategies.
  • Provide thought leadership to the fraud strategy and Fraud Operation functions
What you will bring

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:
  • Transactional Fraud experience in financial lending, particularly in the use of fraud detection systems
  • High intellectual capability combined with commercial aptitude
  • A strong background in analytics, handling large volumes of data to deliver fraud risk strategies/insights
  • Ability to work independently, with high level of self-motivation
  • Ability to lead a team effectively with little support
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to present to senior management optimally
And would love you to know or learn:
  • Ideally, knowledge of the Credit Card and Retail Finance sector.
  • Preferably, relevant subject matter expertise in credit card end to end processing.
  • Exposure to large scale business wide transformation projects
