The successful candidate will take ownership of multiple projects, maximising commercial returns while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage commercial teams to ensure successful delivery of projects, leading commercial planning and implementation
Track project deliverables and ensure budgets, cost control procedures, and administrative systems are fully utilised
Conduct in-depth reviews of tender documentation to identify risks and potential opportunities
Review, select, and approve contractors/suppliers
Manage contractual correspondence, including analysis and documentation of EOT notifications and claims
Continuously monitor project performance to ensure timelines and budgets are met
Provide accurate cost reporting, variance analysis, and resolutions to maintain financial control
Prepare and present reports on project progress, issues, and solutions
Ensure subcontracts are properly prepared, managed, and compliant with scope and contractual obligations
Support project teams in understanding contractual arrangements to meet client requirements
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying & Construction Economics, or equivalent recognised by SCSI and/or RICS
Minimum of 6 years' quantity surveying experience, ideally within large-scale data centre projects
Strong client relationship skills with the ability to secure and leverage repeat business
In-depth knowledge of construction contracts (RIAI, FIDIC, JCT, etc.)
Strong commercial acumen with advanced market knowledge
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to critically evaluate contract documentation
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to build and maintain strong client and PQS relationships
