We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring that all food is prepared according to recipes and specifications. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment by washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support cooks and chefs with various tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all kitchen staff and patrons. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager. Participate in catering events as required, assisting with meal setup and service.

Skills

Previous experience in food preparation or a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Basic culinary skills, including knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality food presentation. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed within the kitchen setting.
