Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through attentive service, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of our menu offerings. Your ability to upsell and assist guests with their dining choices will contribute significantly to the overall atmosphere of our establishment.

Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, using basic maths skills for order processing. Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests in their choices. Upsell additional items such as appetizers, desserts, and beverages to enhance the dining experience. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring that any issues are resolved promptly. Process payments accurately and efficiently at the end of the meal service. Assist in training new staff members on restaurant procedures and standards when required.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Strong knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods. Basic culinary knowledge is an advantage for better communication with kitchen staff. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. A passion for helping others and providing outstanding customer service is essential. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule. Bar experience is a plus
