SITE MANAGER - MACKIE MAYOR


We are looking for a Full-time wine bar manager at the stunning Mackie
Mayor site in Manchester City Centre.
Working 40 hours per week, varied shifts (with flexibility) Monday-
Sunday between 10am-11pm

THE ROLE


Reporting to the Commercial and Operations Manager, this role is varied, challenging and extremely rewarding for the right candidate.
The role includes everything that is needed to run a successful and busy site (bar and retail space). Managing the small team, running customer tasting events and getting involved in the strategic plan for growth.
You will be fully accountable for the running of the bar and achieving set KPI's on GP, wage budget and revenue.

RESPONSIBILITIES


- Plan and run efficient shifts, ensuring the right people are doing the right jobs and our customers are looked after in line with Reserve expectations
- Be responsible for the administrative tasks required for running a high performing and busy hospitality site. Including (but not limited to) rota management (pre-empting key calendar dates that would impact), stock ordering and stock management.
- Be responsible for reporting on and delivering weekly targets for sales, wage budget and gross profit and support the team to achieve these
- Use your great taste and knowledge to ensure a robust and exciting product offering, including seasonal variations and specials.
- Use superb knowledge of wine and spirits to ensure our customers are educated on our wines, encourage them to taste and explore our range and offer unrivalled experiences when they visit our bar.
- Use your creativity and passion to develop, organise, promote and run regular themed tasting events, taking responsibility for the P&L of each to ensure profit margins are being met.
- Train the team and ensure standards are kept high and procedures are followed to create a harmonious working environment where the whole team are working to their best ability
- Plan and adhere to the weekly/monthly planner to ensure all tasks are completed, emails responded to and any additional projects are tackled
- Strive to create a fun and educational working environment for the whole team, share knowledge on our products and strive to develop skills
- Deliver posts on social platforms in line with our brand and marketing plan
- Run staff meetings and training sessions.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards and train the team on best practice to serve our small food offering
- Maintain great relationships and communication with the wider Reserve team
- Recruit and train any new employees needed with support from HR

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


- Strong management experience, preferably within a bar and retail environment
- Hospitality experience essential
- Customer-facing experience
- Wine and spirits knowledge (WSET 2&3 preferable)
- Confidence in running customer-tasting experiences would be beneficial
- Social media knowledge

SALARY & PACKAGE


40 hours per week
27,000, plus Tronc, plus performance related bonus
