Location:

Remote, with travel across the South East

Salary:

50,000 - 65,000 per annum (including performance bonus)

Contract:

Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced leader with the vision and drive to raise standards and inspire excellence in children's residential care? We are looking for a forward-thinking Social Care Consultant to provide strategic leadership, professional guidance, and regulatory oversight across multiple homes in the South East.

This senior role combines strategic influence with hands-on support, empowering Registered Managers to deliver high-quality, safe, and child-centred care. You'll play a pivotal part in embedding safeguarding best practice, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving meaningful improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consultancy, support, and leadership across multiple residential children's homes. Ensure services meet and exceed Ofsted standards and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015. Coach and mentor Registered Managers to deliver exceptional, child-focused care. Lead safeguarding initiatives and embed transparent, accountable practices. Guide services through Ofsted inspections, achieving 'Good' or 'Outstanding' ratings. Promote a culture of learning, reflection, and continuous improvement. Advise on operational areas including budgets, staffing, and resource management. Build strong, positive relationships with local authorities, social workers, and regulatory bodies. Lead on workforce development, training, and performance management initiatives.
About You

Minimum of 3 years' senior leadership experience in children's residential care. NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or commitment to achieve). Excellent knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding legislation, and Quality Standards. Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. Proven ability to influence practice and drive improvement. Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel across the South East. A genuine passion for improving children's lives and delivering exceptional care.
