Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in South Indian cuisine, with a focus on food safety and quality food production. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional dining experiences while supervising kitchen staff and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring effective teamwork and communication. Oversee food preparation processes to maintain consistency and quality. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and dietary requirements. Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Experience

Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing a team effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
