We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and presentation excellence
Manage food safety procedures, including hygiene standards and proper storage practices
Assist in menu planning and development to introduce innovative culinary options
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
Serve dishes to customers when necessary, ensuring excellent customer service
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, complying with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong culinary skills with a comprehensive understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
Experience in food production, restaurant operations, and serving customers is highly desirable
