As a Barclays Strategy Planning Manager, you will shape Data Strategy\xe2\x80\x99s execution pathway and approach while developing an overall plan, owning the strategic roadmap and business value delivery pathway. You will also ensure that plans you develop consider not only customer, but also, colleague and regulatory obligation and balances costs and risk as well as value. In addition to this, you will also collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and drive data, AI/ML and Martech underpinned by a 360-degree view of customer.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. What will you be doing?

  • You will plan complex programs, supporting triage and analyze new demand for funding potential
  • You will provide critical end to end planning and management for the agreed Data outcomes
  • You will directly interface and support all resource activities and 3d party engagement and onboarding
  • You will drive collaboration and continuous improvement culture across the team and across business areas to help guide, shape, and implement go-forward strategies
  • You will assess progress of team vs. goals and monitor key performance indicators
  • You will represent function on various governance forums and interactions with other Strategy and Planning individuals across Technology functions
What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, presentation tools alongside advanced problem solving/decision making skills which may be required in a reactive environment
  • Experience in planning technology strategic initiatives and decompose these to strategic priorities underpinned by a value driver framework to track progress
  • A proven background and track record in change and/or transformation disciplines
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills - clearly understand requirements and solutions to audiences in both the business and technical communities
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Familiarity with the key data, Martech and analytics building blocks and high-level solution architecture and design roles in a banking or financial services environment
  • Evidence of prior experience of strategy planning and large-scale transformation programs
  • Outstanding capabilities in developing and delivering clear and compelling planning communications
Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we\'ve been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
