Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Tandoori Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a deep understanding of Indian cuisine, particularly tandoori cooking. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes in a fine dining or catering environment. The Tandoori Chef will play a key role in menu planning, food safety, and team management to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities



Prepare and cook authentic tandoori dishes with precision and creativity, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards Supervise kitchen staff, including training new team members and managing shift operations to maintain efficiency and quality Oversee food production processes, including inventory management, food handling, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients Lead menu planning efforts, incorporating customer preferences and seasonal ingredients to enhance culinary offerings Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations Manage kitchen inventory control, ordering supplies as needed while minimizing waste Coordinate with catering and restaurant management teams to ensure timely service during events or daily operations Monitor food quality during service, making adjustments as necessary to meet high standards of taste and presentation Ensure smooth kitchen operations during shifts by supervising workflow and resolving any operational issues promptly

Skills



Extensive culinary experience with a focus on Indian cuisine and tandoori cooking techniques Proven banquet experience with the ability to manage large-scale food production for events or catering services Supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, demonstrating strong leadership and team management skills Background in dietary department protocols, food safety, and sanitation standards Strong knowledge of food preparation, menu planning, inventory management, and kitchen operations Experience in fine dining settings or restaurant management preferred Ability to oversee food service management including shift management and catering coordination Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively Knowledge of hospitality industry standards with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality assurance Skills in inventory control, food handling, culinary innovation, and kitchen management are highly desirable
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21-19.77 per hour

Work Location: In person
