Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure efficient operations
Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy periods
Oversee food safety practices, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with regulations
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
Train new team members on food preparation techniques and safety procedures
Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure during peak hours
Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and motivate team members
Familiarity with food production processes and culinary techniques
