Trainee Audio Visual Technician

to join our small, dynamic team in Northamptonshire.

Our

Audio Visual Technicians

are experts in their field; supporting our clients on the ground by designing, delivering, setting up and operating or demonstrating equipment that enables our clients to make the most of their presentations and events. As a Trainee Audio Visual Technician you will have a passion for developing your understanding of utilising Audio Visual equipment to enhance corporate presentation and events.

Audio Visual (AV) covers technical equipment in the communications industry. The headlines are Audio (Amplifiers, Speakers, Mixers and Microphones), Visual (Laptops, Media Players, Switchers and Displays), as well as Backdrops, Stages, Lighting and of course Technical Support.

What we would like from you:



You will be eager to develop your skills and work on a variety of events and gain experience across a variety of technical disciplines including; Staging, Structures, Sound, Lighting, Video & LED screens, Carpentry, Power.

As you develop you will be asked to:

Support in the instillation of equipment, including the transport and setup of video, lighting, and audio equipment as required by clients. This will include setting up, operating and striking technical equipment, staging and scenery. Develop the ability to build relationships with 'Event Producers' ensuring that you can explain our services to technical and non-technical clients as needed Support in the resolution of issues on site in a timely manner, ensuring constructive feedback to both the client and project management team is provided in a timely manner. Continuous improvement is really important to us - we would love it if you had a desire to grow knowledge on all AV, video conferencing and hybrid events technology and use this to help us do what we do even better!
Once trained you will be asked to work independently on smaller jobs or as part of a team on complex events. At all times you will be fully trained to carry out everything asked of you and will have experienced support available to you.

Work Pattern:



4 days per working week - usually 07.00 to 18.00 Flexibility to stay away from home and travel where needed Frequent overtime available Occasional weekend work via a rota system
