Trainee Engineer - :

Ashwell Construction Ltd are a groundworks company who work on a variety of construction projects including Residential, Commercial and Utilities. Our head office is based in the heart of Suffolk in Walsham le Willows. Due to Ashwell's continued growth, we are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team.

We are looking to employ a

Trainee Engineer

to join our Engineering Department. The role involves assisting one of our Site Engineers in the day to day setting out and surveying on any given construction site(s), where you'll receive on the job training. The work is predominantly based on site and conducted in all weather.

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements;

GCSE Maths grade 5 - 6 or above

GCSE English grade 4 or above

Has obtained a minimum of 80 UCAS Points

Has a UK Driving Licence (or is in the process of obtaining one)

Highly motivated

Eager to learn

Strong attention to detail

Enjoys working as part of a team

Punctual

Good communication skills

Enjoys being outside

Good IT skills (including Excel)

Starting salary of 22,500

Working hours between 07:30 - 16:30

6 Month Probation Period

Enrolment in a FdSc Civil Engineering Degree Course (1 day a week) in September 2026.
