Trainee Registered Manager
to join our team in Bedford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or senior residential care worker who is ready to take the next step in their career.
The Role
As a Trainee Registered Manager, you will receive full support and mentorship as you transition into the role of a Registered Manager. You'll work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure high standards of care, compliance with Ofsted regulations, and the development of a safe and positive environment for children and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding
Assist in leading and motivating a team of staff to deliver person-centred care
Ensure the home meets all regulatory and legislative requirements
Work closely with external stakeholders including social workers, local authorities, and Ofsted
Prepare to become the Registered Manager through structured training and development
What We're Looking For
Experience in a children's residential care setting (essential)
Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Working towards or willing to complete the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
A strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and children's legislation
Leadership qualities with a passion for making a difference in young people's lives
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
