About the Role
We are looking for a committed and driven individual to join our team as a
Trainee Registered Manager
at our children's residential home in
Walsall
. This is an exciting opportunity for a current Deputy Manager, Team Leader, or experienced residential care professional who is ready to step up and develop into a Registered Manager role.
You will be fully supported in your development, with structured mentoring and training to help you gain the necessary skills, confidence, and qualifications to eventually register with Ofsted.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring a high standard of care for all children
Work closely with senior leaders to implement care plans, policies, and regulatory standards
Lead, manage, and support the residential team to deliver person-centred care
Promote a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment
Be actively involved in inspections and compliance with Ofsted regulations
Participate in the on-call rota
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting
Previous experience in a leadership or management role (e.g. Deputy Manager or Senior)
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Working towards or willing to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People's Services)
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives
