About the Role
We're looking for a driven and organised Trainee Site Manager to join our growing team.

As a Trainee Site Manager, you'll support the Site Manager in the coordination and supervision of roofing and cladding projects across industrial sites. This role offers structured, on-the-job experience designed to lead you toward a full site management position. You'll gain essential knowledge in project planning, health and safety, team coordination, and technical installation processes.
No previous experience in construction or industrial roofing is required -- full training will be provided. However, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced site environment are essential.
Due to the nature of some of our projects, you may be required to undergo security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
On-Site Support
Assist with day-to-day site supervision of industrial roofing and cladding works.
Learn to interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
Support the delivery of materials, plant, and labour coordination.
Shadow and support site briefings, inductions, and toolbox talks.
Health & Safety Compliance
Support implementation of site health and safety practices under the guidance of the Site Manager.
Assist with risk assessments, method statements, and monitoring of PPE and safe systems of work.
Record observations and report safety issues.
Quality Assurance
Help carry out quality checks to ensure compliance with company and client standards.
Assist in maintaining site diaries, photographic records, and progress reports.
Learning & Development
Attend training sessions in site management, health & safety, and roofing systems.
Work alongside experienced supervisors, cladders, and project managers to gain technical and managerial skills.
Gradually take responsibility for minor site activities under supervision.
Administrative Support
Assist with documentation, reporting, and site logistics.
Help monitor attendance, deliveries, and subcontractor activities.
Support with submitting daily/weekly reports, photographs, and site diaries as required.
Support snagging, inspections, and handover processes.
Communication & Reporting:
Maintaining clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills.
Proficiency in health and safety regulations and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
IT literacy (Microsoft Office, site management software, etc.).
Desirable
CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).
Full UK driving license.
Previous experience in construction or roofing environments.
Awareness of working at height and related safety standards.
