Adam Bernard Solicitors is seeking a motivated and ambitious
Trainee Solicitor
to join our growing Litigation Department. This role is ideal for a candidate who has
at least 1 year of experience as a Litigation Paralegal
and is now looking to progress towards qualification.
You will receive hands-on training, direct supervision from experienced solicitors, and exposure to a wide range of contentious matters. The firm will support you through either a
Training Contract
or
Qualifying Work Experience (QWE)
pathway.
Key Responsibilities
Assist fee earners with a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters.
Draft legal documents including particulars of claim, defence statements, witness statements, correspondence, and applications.
Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries, bundles, and court forms.
Liaise with clients, courts, counsel, experts, and third parties professionally and promptly.
Manage deadlines and ensure compliance with court procedures and CPR rules.
Attend client meetings, conferences, and, where appropriate, court hearings.
Support the team with file management, document preparation, and administrative duties.
Maintain accurate and organised case files in line with SRA and Lexcel standards.
Proactively contribute to case progression and client service excellence.
Undertake any other duties reasonable for your level of training and development.
Key Skills & Experience Required
Minimum
1 year experience as a Litigation Paralegal
(civil or commercial litigation).
Strong understanding of CPR rules, drafting, and litigation processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
Good client-care skills with a professional and confident manner.
Strong organisational skills and willingness to learn.
A law degree, LPC/SQE, or equivalent legal qualification (preferred but not essential).
