Overview

ACF is a leading provider of linen and laundry services to the UK Hospitality sector. As we continue to grow we are looking to recruit a Transport Manager preferably with an industrial laundry, or other similar production managements background, to support our laundry manager in our busy and fast paced laundry in Cornwall. As Transport Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the transportation department to ensure the efficient and safe movement of goods. This includes managing drivers, coordinating routes, ensuring compliance with transport regulations, and maintaining fleet efficiency and safety standards. You will also assist the laundry manager in day-to-day laundry operations, meeting targets and managing team performance within our commercial laundry facility.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and monitor transport operations, including scheduling and route planning.
Supervise and manage a team of drivers and logistics staff.
Ensure fleet maintenance and servicing schedules are up-to-date.
Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance costs.
Ensure compliance with all transportation laws and regulations (e.g., HGV regulations, tachograph usage, driver working hours).
Maintain accurate transport-related records (e.g., delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports).
Support the laundry manager in the management of the laundry
Liaise with clients to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Previous production leadership roles
A strong transport management background
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 16.05 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
