Due to continued growth Route 1, are looking for a new PM Transport Planner to join our ever expanding business.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling & Dispatch:


Plan and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the transport fleet, including scheduling vehicles, drivers, and routes for efficient delivery and collection of goods.

Documentation & Data Entry:


Maintain accurate records, such as driver logs, vehicle details, delivery notes, and tachograph data, and input this information into Transport Management Systems (TMS).

Compliance:


Ensure all operations comply with drivers' hours regulations (like WTD), tachograph laws, and other transport legislation.

Communication:


Act as a primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and internal departments, handling telephone enquiries, providing updates, and resolving operational issues.

Administrative Support:


Perform general administrative duties, support the logistics team, and assist with the processing of customer orders and related documentation.

Fleet Monitoring:


Track and monitor the accuracy and completion of deliveries, and use telematics reports to identify any issues or trends.

Essential Skills

Organisation & Planning:


Strong ability to organize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Computer Proficiency:


Competence in using Transport Management Systems (TMS) and other relevant software for data entry and record-keeping.

Communication:


Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with drivers, customers, and colleagues.

Attention to Detail:


Meticulous approach to maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.

Problem-Solving:


Ability to identify and resolve issues related to deliveries, driver schedules, and operational logistics.

Logistics Knowledge:


A basic understanding of logistics, supply chains, and the transport industry.

Salary Depending upon experience 25,000-27,000 per year.

Hours 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday ( Flexibility is appreciated)
