Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in upholstery, with the ability to fabricate, and assemble various furniture pieces. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using both hand and power tools. The Upholsterer will be responsible for transforming raw materials into finished products while ensuring high-quality standards are met. There is a performance bonus scheme in place.

Duties

Utilise techniques to create and repair upholstery for furniture items. Fabricate components according to specifications and design requirements. Assemble furniture pieces, ensuring all parts fit together correctly and securely. Perform heavy lifting as necessary when moving materials and completed items. Maintain a clean and organised workspace within the warehouse environment. Operate power tools safely and effectively for various upholstery tasks. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Upholsterer or in a similar role is preferred, however we will consider persons with no previous experience. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to upholstery work. Ability to lift heavy materials and furniture components safely. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
