Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team, responsible for creating and restoring upholstered furniture to high standards of quality and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for design, and the ability to work with various materials. This role is essential in ensuring customer satisfaction through the delivery of beautifully upholstered pieces that meet our clients' specifications.

Duties

Measure and cut fabric and materials according to specifications. Assemble and disassemble furniture pieces as required. Apply upholstery techniques including sewing, stapling, and tacking. Repair or replace damaged components of furniture, such as springs or padding. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and within deadlines. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and customer requirements.

Experience

Previous experience in upholstery or a related field is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Proficiency in using upholstery tools and machinery. Strong attention to detail with an artistic flair for design. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
