Competitive hourly rate starting at approximately 13.50, with reviews after 3 months based on skills

Monday to Friday, flexible shifts (early morning to mid-afternoon)

About the Role

A well-established furniture manufacturing company in the East Midlands is seeking a dedicated Seating Upholsterer to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with a passion for craftsmanship to work on high-quality furniture in a dynamic, collaborative workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

Upholstering seating products to a high standard within set production timelines Conducting quality checks to ensure furniture meets company standards before dispatch Creating and using patterns/templates, accounting for properties of various fabrics and materials Interpreting design briefs, sketches, blueprints, or patterns to guide production Accurately measuring and cutting materials using manual and automated tools Marking precise cutting lines on fabrics according to specifications Occasionally communicating with clients to confirm preferences for colors, styles, or materials Inspecting furniture frames, springs, and webbings for defects or damage Assembling and upholstering furniture using a range of hand and power tools Collaborating with production teams to ensure smooth workflows and timely order completion

Requirements

Proven experience in upholstery, preferably with seating products Ability to create accurate templates and work with diverse materials and fabrics Strong skills in reading and executing design specifications Positive, adaptable, and collaborative attitude with a focus on quality Must be able to commute to and work on-site in the East Midlands area
