Monday to Thursday: Early morning to mid-afternoon Friday: Early morning to early afternoon Occasional weekend work may be required

Pay Rate:

Competitive hourly rate, approximately 14.00-17.00, based on experience

About the Role

A furniture restoration and upholstery business in Southeast England is seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join their team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone passionate about craftsmanship, with a focus on restoring and upholstering furniture. The role involves working in a workshop and occasionally off-site, delivering high-quality results across various projects.

Key Responsibilities

Cutting and applying foam and upholstery fabrics to furniture Working with a range of upholstery materials Performing sewing and precise cutting tasks Stripping and re-upholstering furniture using provided or self-made templates Adding decorative elements such as buttoning, piping, and cushioning Using hand tools, air compressor tools, and sewing machines Installing webbing, springs, padding, and fabrics on furniture frames Refurbishing and renovating old or damaged furniture Replacing wooden seat boards as needed Collaborating with the team to ensure quality and efficiency

Desirable Qualifications (Not Essential)

Valid UK driving licence Formal upholstery training or certification CSCS Card Forklift operation certificate First aid certification
