We are seeking an experienced Upholsterer to join a busy furniture manufacturer producing high-quality office seating and furniture.
Hours & Pay:
Monday to Friday,
6:30am - 3:00pm
42.5 hours per week
(day shifts with an early finish)
13.00 - 13.50 per hour depending on experience
Starter rate may apply during training until fully competent on products
Main Duties:
Upholstering chairs, sofas, and office seating to a high standard
Working with a range of fabrics, vinyl, and leather materials
Measuring, cutting, and fitting fabrics accurately
Using air tools, staple guns, and other upholstery tools
Assembling frames and padding prior to upholstery
Repairing and re-upholstering existing products when required
Meeting daily production targets while maintaining quality
Ensuring consistency, craftsmanship, and attention to detail in all work
Requirements:
Previous experience in upholstery, ideally within seating or furniture manufacturing
Skilled in using upholstery hand tools and machinery
Good hand-eye coordination and manual handling ability
Ability to follow work instructions, drawings, and quality standards
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
