Job Description

Venue Manager - The Bounce Park (Didcot Weekends + Reading School Holidays)

Be the energy. Lead the fun. Shape unforgettable family experiences.

Are you a natural leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-energy environments?
Do you love creating outstanding experiences for families and children?

Join The Bounce Park

- one of the UK's most exciting indoor attractions - and take the lead in delivering top-tier fun, safety, and customer service across our Didcot (weekends) and Reading (school holiday) venues.

As Venue Manager, you'll be the driving force behind site success. You'll lead from the front, inspire your team, and ensure our venues run smoothly, safely, and to the highest possible standard. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership, communicates confidently, and has the ability to turn busy days into brilliant ones.

Key Responsibilities1. Leadership & People

Recruit, train, and develop staff across floor, cafe, and party operations. Manage rotas, performance, attendance, and shift allocation. Lead by example, motivating the team to deliver high-energy, customer-focused service at all times.

2. Customer Experience

Ensure every guest has a positive, safe, and memorable visit. Handle customer queries, feedback, and complaints with confidence and professionalism. Oversee the smooth delivery of parties, group bookings, and special events. Drive repeat business and build relationships within the local community.

3. Health, Safety & Compliance

Complete daily safety checks, incident logs, and risk assessments. Ensure full compliance with health & safety, safeguarding, and food hygiene standards. Maintain accurate safety records, always ready for audit or inspection.

4. Finance & Commercial Performance

Manage on-site finances: sales performance, cafe results, labour costs, and cleaning budgets. Control and order stock efficiently, preventing waste and overspend. Oversee tills, cash handling, and accurate shift handover reporting. Support commercial growth through upselling, party bookings, and local marketing activity.

5. Venue Operations

Ensure the venue is consistently clean, safe, well-presented, and fully functional. Maintain high cafe standards including food hygiene, stock rotation, and product availability. Identify and report maintenance issues promptly, following through to resolution. Keep clear communication with the wider management team through detailed shift handovers.

6. Hands-On Leadership

Lead from the front during peak times, working alongside your team on the floor. Balance operational duties with admin tasks, compliance checks, and team development.
