Job Description

We're looking for a part-time Venue Manager to join our talented team at Phonox.


Phonox joined London's clubbing scene in September 2015. The renowned South London venue hosts world-class DJs in a world-class environment and is powered by Funktion-One sound system. Phonox expertly showcases the best in house, techno, disco, drum & bass and electronica.


This role is up to 17phr, working 30-35 hours per week.


What you'll be doing:

Overseeing all aspects of Phonox's daily operations, ensuring smooth service and an exceptional guest experience. Leading and developing a professional, customer-focused team through effective recruitment, training, and coaching. Creating and maintaining a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for guests and staff. Managing staff scheduling, stock control and venue presentation to uphold the highest operational standards. Supporting and executing sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue and achieve financial targets. Monitoring budgets, controlling costs and analysing performance to maximise profitability. Working closely with our programming, marketing and senior management teams to deliver standout club nights and events.


What we're looking for:

Proven experience in a managerial role within hospitality or nightlife, ideally in electronic music venues. A strong understanding and genuine passion for the London electronic music scene. Exceptional leadership, communication and people-management skills. The ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced, late-night environment.
