Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Client Care Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Veterinary Client Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients and their beloved pets.

Responsibilities:

- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanour, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment.

- Assist clients with scheduling appointments, answering phone calls and addressing inquiries or concerns.

- Collect and update client information, including contact details, medical history and insurance information.

- Maintain accurate and organised client records in our database system.

- Coordinate with the veterinary team to ensure smooth flow of appointments and efficient client service.

- Educate clients on basic pet care, including nutrition, grooming and preventative measures.

- Prepare and process invoices, handle payments and provide financial information to clients.

- Process and request repeat prescriptions.

- Manage inventory of pet care products, medications and supplies.

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the reception area and waiting room.

- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in client care and confidentiality.

This position is full time, 40 hours per week.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting.

- Passion for working with animals and providing exceptional client service.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.

- Proficiency in computer systems and software.

- Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus.

- Willingness to work flexible hours if asked, including weekends.

- Knowledge of insurance documents online and paperwork is a plus.

- Speak English / fluent in English.

Job type: Full Time, Permanent.

Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday.
