Job Summary:
We are seeking a veterinary receptionist to join our team at Oaks Vet Centre. As a veterinary receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and support to our clients and their pets. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of the front desk and provide administrative assistance to our veterinary staff.
Duties:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment diary
- Check-in and check-out clients, collect payments, and process invoices
- Maintain accurate client records and update patient information in the system
- Assist with filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed
- Provide general information about our services, pricing, and policies
- Coordinate with vets and nurses to ensure efficient patient flow
- Handle client enquiries, resolve complaints, and escalate issues when necessary
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and staff
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic towards animals and their owners
