Our reception desks are a hive of activity and our receptionists are the first faces to greet our clients & their pets when they come through the door. Applicants must have a polite, warm, friendly manner and love pets!
Candidates must have previous reception / customer service experience and be able to multitask. Previous veterinary/animal care experience is a massive bonus.
General duties include :
- Meet & greet clients.
- Answer the telephone.
- Book in appointments and surgeries for clients.
- Understand how to prioritise medical emergencies and manage the daily appointment system accordingly. Give pet care advice WHEN APPROPRIATE with the support of the nurse/vet team. A large part of being successful in the role is the ability to understand how urgently a sick/unwell pet needs to be seen.
- Respond to emails.
- Liaising across our 3 surgeries to effectively manage the rota.
- Accurate stock monitoring and ordering.
- Ensuring the practice remains clean and tidy.
- Money handling, adhering to GDPR and client privacy.
