We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets, providing exceptional customer service and support in a busy veterinary practice. This role requires excellent communication and IT skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the booking system efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up to date.
Process payments and handle financial transactions with attention to detail.
Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including laboratory sample handling and processing.
Educate clients on preventative care, products, and services offered by the practice.
Ensure the reception area is organised, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies to include the stocking and managing of the small pet shop.
Handling of in-patients will be required but full training will be given.
Experience
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing outstanding service.
