As a Victim and Witness Care Co-ordinator you will provide end to end support to victims of crime and ASB from the initial report to Police or self-referral through to the conclusion of any criminal justice process and beyond if required. You will provide victim and witness advocacy, championing the needs of the victim and witnesses and identifying and providing the necessary support where required.


We are looking for a person who has the ability to provide a consistently excellent level of service to victims and witnesses. You will be passionate about customer service and building relationships with partner agencies to ensure that victim and witnesses receive support to suit their individual needs.


The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work within a team is essential as is experience of call handling with the general public. You should have experience of managing a high workload and be able to work under pressure. You will be willing to learn a wide variety of operating systems and policies.


An understanding of the issues faced by various victim groups would be useful as well as an awareness of the Victims Code of Practice and other guidance and legislation around victim & witness care. Having strong cultural awareness and/or language skills would also be an advantage.



This role is predominantly office-based and involves a significant amount of telephone contact with victims and witnesses referred to our service. There are working from home opportunities once fully trained. The post holder will be expected to work on a rota basis ensuring office cover between the hours of 08:00am until 07:00pm. The post holder will also be expected to work a Saturday every six weeks.
