SV Care is recruiting a

Waking Night Residential Support Worker

for an Ofsted-registered children's residential provision within Colchester. This is an opportunity to be part of the shaping of a service in a newly renovated and spacious modern property finished to the highest standard. The company has been operational since March 2022 and benefits from a highly dedicated, passionate and experienced Registered Manager and staff team. We are looking for additional staff members to join this outstanding team.

We're looking to recruit passionate, dedicated individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people in our society who've experienced neglect, abuse and trauma.

Ideally, you will have experience in children's care work or supporting young people,

as the young people we care for may, at times, display challenging behaviours. You will need to be resilient and dedicated enough to manage such behaviours while continuing to provide unconditional care, advice and support.

Starting rates of pay are

12.50/hour (depending on experience).

This role requires you to work evenings and weekends on a shift-pattern basis. We currently have both a full-time and a part-time vacancy.

Shift pattern for this role:

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday nights,

10:00pm - 8:00am

Previous experience is preferred, but not essential, as extensive induction and training will be provided for all team members. A full, clean UK driving license is also preferred but not essential.

Requirements for DBS and reference checking will be undertaken and paid for by SV Care Services, in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practices.

Following successful completion of your probation period, you'll have the opportunity to gain a valuable qualification in the

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

Completing this qualification is a regulatory requirement and should be achieved within 2 years of beginning your career in residential childcare.

Duties include:



Managing complex behaviours and crisis intervention Ensuring young people's health needs are met Providing advice, support and guidance Administering and recording medication Maintaining daily records and administrative work Contributing to the care planning process Liaising with external stakeholders and our own multi-disciplinary team Attending mandatory training Engaging in team meetings Maintaining the home (laundry, cleaning, shopping, cooking etc)
