About The Role



We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, organised and people-focused Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse team across a 3-shift operation. This critical role ensures the smooth running of all warehouse functions, fosters a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and champions our most important asset - Our People!

Main Role Responsibilities - An Overview



To be successful in your role you will be required to competently complete a variety of core duties which will include the below. These will be supplemented by other tasks deemed appropriate by your line manager:

60% People Management - Leads and develops a team of warehouse operators and supervisors across a 3-shift operation, creating a high-performing, inclusive environment. Builds strong relationships with the production team to ensure smooth handovers and alignment. Promotes a culture where safety, quality and continuous improvement are embedded, with a strong focus on reporting, learning and team engagement.

15% Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement - Embeds a strong safety-first culture across the warehouse, ensuring compliance with all procedures and encouraging proactive reporting and learning. Drives quality and continuous improvement through root cause investigations, team involvement and the delivery of practical, sustainable changes.

10% FLT & Racking Management - Manages the site's forklift truck (FLT) fleet, ensuring equipment is safe, compliant, well-maintained and fit for purpose. Oversees racking infrastructure, ensuring it is inspected regularly, maintained to a high standard and configured to meet operational needs. Works closely with Health & Safety and external providers to ensure all MHE and racking activity complies with site standards and legal requirements.

10% SOP & Training for the Area - Owns and maintains up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities, ensuring they reflect current best practices and compliance requirements. Delivers effective training and refresher programmes to ensure all team members are competent, confident and compliant in their roles. Actively monitors training completion and understanding, closing any gaps through coaching and support.

5% Waste Operational Management - Oversees all site waste operations, including hazardous, lab, soap, general, metal and WEEE waste streams, ensuring compliant storage, segregation and disposal. Works closely with the HSE team to maintain adherence to environmental regulations and permit conditions. Continuously looks for opportunities to improve waste handling efficiency, reduce costs, and support sustainability goals.

About You

Skills & Competencies



You will have a minimum of 3 years experience of leading a Warehouse Team across multi shift operations. You will have the ability to build trust, resolve conflict and lead by example, along with building strong cross functional relationships. You will have an in-depth knowledge of Warehouse operations (Goods In / Out, Picking, Line Side Supply, and Stock Management). You will have experience in racking systems and MHE fleets. You will have an excellent understanding of Warehousing safety standards, and experience in managing waste operations. You will have experience in maintaining SOPs and ensures effective training and compliance. You will be proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). You will have the ability to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities, an analytical thinker with people skills!! You will have great project management skills and understand the different engagement styles needed between presenting to the Leadership Team or working with our production teams... so it goes without saying that great communication skills are a must, and with an analytical mind, you'll be able to digest data and reach conclusions!
