We are a well-established and fast-growing wholesaler and distributor in the Airsoft industry, supplying retailers, game sites, and regional distributors across the UK and worldwide.
As part of our continued investment in logistics and infrastructure, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead operations at our Oxfordshire Distribution Centre.
About the Role
As Warehouse Manager, you will be the most senior person on site at our Witney Distribution Centre and take full responsibility for its day-to-day operation. You will have the autonomy to make decisions, implement improvements, and lead the team - with full backing from senior management.
This role goes beyond maintaining daily operations. You'll be expected to evaluate, develop, and optimise warehouse processes - including picking accuracy, stock management, racking layout, and dispatch flow.
Your focus will be on creating a high-performance distribution hub that supports our growth and enhances customer satisfaction.
You will also oversee the adoption and daily use of our warehouse management system (WMS) and handheld scanning devices. A key part of the role will involve building structured stock locations, improving inventory accuracy, and ensuring your team follows systemised workflows. You'll be supported by a Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics Manager, with clear ownership of overall site performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of warehouse operations as the senior site lead
- Lead and manage the warehouse team, including recruitment, training, and day-to-day oversight
- Set clear expectations, drive team accountability, and promote a positive working culture
- Develop and refine warehouse processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and output
- Implement and maintain racking systems, bin locations, and warehouse labelling
- Manage the effective use of warehouse systems and scanning equipment across the team
- Oversee accurate and timely picking, packing, and dispatch of UK and International orders
- Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to ensure compliant export documentation
- Respond to shipment and stock enquiries from Head Office, or delegate appropriately
- Ensure the site operates safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards
- Carry out or oversee all other warehouse-specific duties and operational tasks as required
About You
- 5+ years' experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a senior warehouse leadership role
- Proven experience leading, developing, and managing warehouse teams
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and continuous improvement practices
- Confident using warehouse/inventory systems and barcode scanning tools
- Experience dispatching goods in the UK and Internationally, including customs documentation and
Commercial Invoices
- Clear communicator with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions as the senior person on site
Bonus Experience (Desirable)
- Experience in B2B wholesale, trade, or multi-channel distribution environments
- Prior involvement in warehouse system rollouts, layout planning, or stock control projects
- Forklift licence
