We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Wholesale Manager to oversee our wholesale operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of retail management. This role requires effective communication and organisational abilities to ensure smooth operations and foster strong relationships with our wholesale partners. The Wholesale Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing a team, and optimising inventory levels.
Duties
Develop and implement strategic wholesale sales plans to achieve company goals and expand market share.
Identify and pursue new wholesale accounts and markets, including lead generation, prospecting, and relationship building.
Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and inform strategy adjustments.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to potential and existing clients.
Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with wholesale clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
Serve as the primary point of contact for wholesale accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer service.
Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with wholesale partners to ensure profitable agreements.
Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to assess performance, identify growth opportunities, and strengthen
Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, production, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless order fulfilment, product availability, and customer support.
Potentially manage or mentor a small team of wholesale representatives or support staff (if applicable).
Monitor wholesale sales performance against targets, preparing regular reports and forecasts for management.
Manage budgets related to wholesale activities, including travel, samples, and promotional efforts.
Ensure timely collection of payments from wholesale accounts.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company's products and new offerings.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor strategies, and market demands to effectively position products.
Experience
Proven experience in wholesale sales, account management, or business development, preferably Textile's/Fashion/eCommerce Industry.
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in online account handling and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to travel as needed to meet with supplier/ B2B clients and attend trade shows.
